If you want to find public records in the county, you’ll need to go to the Hillsborough County Clerk of the Court, located in downtown Tampa. The clerk’s website has indexes to many records, but you need to go to the court in person to see the entire document, in most cases. Land records and marriage records are exceptions to the rule, in that they’re available in their entirety on the clerk’s website (from the 1960′s for land records and from the late 1990′s for marriage records….older records are still available in person at the clerk of the court). You can also go to the county sheriff for arrest records and mug shots. Property records are available online at the property appraiser’s website.

The Hillsborough County Clerk of the Court is located at:
800 Twiggs Street, Tampa, FL 33602, and is open from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, except on federal holidays.

There are many websites online that have been designed for the purpose of allowing online consumers to perform public record searches, don’t be afraid to use a convenient public-records lookup, that can help you.
